Viola Stiennette Hove, age 101 of Bricelyn, MN, died November 12th, 2017 at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, MN. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2017 at 12:00 PM at South Blue Earth Lutheran Church, rural Bricelyn, with Pastor Arne Halbakken officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Viola Stiennette was born June 7, 1916 the daughter of George and Immina Geerdes in Germania, IA. Viola taught country school for two years prior to her marriage. On March 29, 1942, Viola was united in marriage to James Hove in Blue Earth, MN. She stayed home and raised her family on a farm near Bricelyn. Viola was a hard worker, she loved to garden, can, bake, and cook. Viola was very sharp minded, often doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was a faithful member of South Blue Earth Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and was involved in Circle, she also embroidered dishtowels for the fall sale. Following retirement, Viola and James moved to Bricelyn. She was very involved with the Bricelyn quilting group for 23 years. Viola was a gracious woman, always looking her best. She always had good things to say about everyone.

Viola is survived by her children: Paul (Sheryl) Hove of St. Paul, MN, Duane (Lydia) Hove of Manhattan Beach, CA, Janis (John) Antinozzi of Ham Lake, MN; grandchildren: Jeff (Ludmila Eremeyeva) Hove, Christine (Kevin) Post, Jason (Fay) Hove and Paul Antinozzi (LeAndra Smith); great-grandchildren: Halyna Eremeyeva, Zachary Post, Jessica Post, Meltemi Hove, and Nikki Hove; and step-grandchildren: Julie Antinozzi (Jimmy Coenen), Dana Antinozzi, Jim (Heidi) Antinozzi, and David Antinozzi (Wendy Marose); brother Alvin (Dorothy) Geerdes; sister-in-law Jean Geerdes; many nieces, nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James; sister Leona (Lawrence) Everett; brothers: Elmer (Lucy), Raymond (Juanita), Henry (Violet), and Marvin Geerdes; sisters-in-law: Irene (Ray) Jensvold, Orva (Arnold) Aamodt, Florence (Alfred) Vereide, Evelyn (Adolph) Oakland and Theone (Harvey) Runge.
