Rosalie Rasmussen, age 88, of Wells, MN, died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at her daughter's home. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells, MN, with Pastor Mary Iverson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Carlston Cemetery in Carlston Twp., Freeborn Co., MN. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN is assisting the family.
Rosalie was born July 28, 1928 in Missouri, the daughter of Benjamin and Sylvia (Sargeant) Gillispie. February 28, 1945 Rosalie was united in marriage to Harold Jones and to this union 7 children were born. The couple later divorced. On October 8, 1972, she was united in marriage to Harley Rasmussen. Rosalie worked for many years at F. M. Stamper and Banquet Foods in Wells. She owned and operated R & R Floral in Wells.
Rosalie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harley; 2 sons: Terry and Dickie Jones; sister, Violet (Tom) Couch, brother, Donald Gillispie.
She is survived by her children: Judy (Danny) Werner of Wells, MN, Louis Jones of St. Cloud, MN, Loretta (Dennis) Neff of Waterville, MN, Patt (Gary) Tetzloff of Waseca, MN, and Rosa Fette of Wells, MN; 12 grandchildren: Tammy (James), Shannon (Jon), Kristina (Damon), Shawn, Melissa (John), Donny, Jeremy (Michele), Scott, Traci, Nicole, Mike, and Gena; 20 great-grandchildren: Lauren, Will, Jenna, Skyler, Alisen, Chelsea, Greg, Bailey, Abigail, Anna, Grace, Preston, Jacob, Leonce, Lailah, Shawn Jr., Anyssa, Emmalyn, Brody, and Alexis; 2 great-great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Reagen; 2 siblings: Mary (Leo) Benskin and Robert Lambert of MO; as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.
