Robert Judine Anderson, age 90, of Kiester, MN died Friday, April 3, 2020 at Thorncrest Senior Living in Albert Lea, MN. Private family services will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later day for all of Robert's family and friends, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with military honors accorded by the Kiester American Legion Post. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Kiester, MN, in memory of Robert.
Robert Judine was born May 13, 1929 the son of Fred and Matilda (Sletten) Anderson. Robert grew up in the Scarville, IA, area, and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He met Leona Rose Mensing at a dance and they later married on August 10, 1960 in Pine Island, MN. Robert farmed and enoyed being outside "fixing" things. He liked to bowl and play cards, and he loved spending time with his family and his dog Olaf. Robert was a member of the Kiester American Legion and Our Savior's Lutheran Church. He served on the Our Savior's Lutheran Church Board, the Kiester School Board and the Kiester Elevator Board.
Robert is survived by his wife Leona of Thorncrest Senior Living in Albert Lea, MN; daughters: Lois (Tim) Anderson of Waseca, MN, Patricia Geerdes (Dan Root) of Racine, MN, and Audrey (Steven) Harter of Gaylord MN; 6 grandchildren: Seth (Molly) Anderson, Sara (Charlie) Sieberg; Nikki (Cole) Roeder, Brittany (Charlie) Stevens; Robert Harter, Allie Harter; 5 great-grandchildren: Jack Anderson, Wesley Sieberg, Payten Jacobs, Shea Roeder and Charles Stevens; sister-in-law Joyce Anderson of Clarion, IA; along with many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law Dave Geerdes; great-grandson Jonathan Stevens; brother Howard Anderson; sister Clarice (Tillman) Christensen.
