Randall "Randy" Duane Albers, age 68, of Wells, MN, died Friday, July 19, 2019 at United Hospital District in Blue Earth, MN. A memorial service will be Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN with Pastor Carolee Smith officiating and military honors accorded. Visitation with be from 5:00-7:00 PM prior to the service. Private family interment will be at the Brush Creek Cemetery, Brush Creek Twp., Faribault Co., MN.
Randy was born February 11, 1951 in Wells, MN, the son of Henry and Lillie (Christensen) Albers. Randy was a graduate of Wells-Easton High School and worked at Gambles before joining the Army in 1975. He was a Sergeant E-5 combat engineer stationed in Germany until 1979. Randy worked for 36 years at True Value in Wells, MN. He was a member of the Wells Gun Club and the NRA. Randy was a Firearms Safety Instructor since 1981. Randy loved the outdoors, hunting, camping, trap shooting and precision lawn mowing. He also enjoyed going for drives.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dale Albers.
Randy is survived by his siblings: Dean Albers of Wells, MN, and Rosalie Albers of Bricelyn, MN; 5 nieces and 1 nephew; 6 great nieces and nephews; and his kitties Wilma, Floyd and K.C.
