Prayer Emblem

Lillian Therese Jensen, 90, of Wells, MN, died Sunday, November 19, 2017, surrounded by her family at Parkview Care Center in Wells, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells with Fr. Jason Kern officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, November 24, 2017 at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN from 4:00-7:00 PM and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. A Rosary will be held at 9:15 AM Saturday morning at the church. Interment will be at St. Casimir Cemetery.
Lillian Therese was born September 25, 1927 in Wells, MN, the daughter of Paul and Selma (Rodahl) Staloch. Lil graduated from Freeborn High School the Class of 1946. She went to Bethesda School in St. Paul for X-ray technician, and worked at the Bethesda Hospital. On June 13, 1953 Lil was united in marriage to Donald "Doc" Jensen in Wells, MN, and to this union 2 daughters were born, Kris and Jo. On November 16, 1954 Lil was diagnosed with Polio. For 63 years she never let her inability to walk deter her love of living. Lil enjoyed knitting and quilting, and was a member of the St. Casimir's quilters. She played Bridge for over 50 years with the same club. Lil was a 50+ year member of the Wells Legion and the VFW Auxiliary. She also belonged to the Wells Firemen Auxiliary. Lil loved to bake, attend her grandchildren's school activities, and go to lutefisk suppers with her friends. Lil was a faithful member of St. Casimir's Catholic Church and prayed the Rosary daily.
Lil is survived by her daughters: Kris (Neil) Keefer of Cottage Grove, MN, and Jo Giese (Myles Brooks) of Wells, MN; grandchildren: Mandy Giese of Easton, MN, Jill Maas of Nicollet, MN, Maggie Giese of Mankato, MN, Dane (Susan) Giese of Easton, MN, and Kelly (Frank) LaPlante of South St. Paul, MN; great-grandchildren: Jordan and Dani Kirkeide, Indabelle and Bo Maas, Ivylynn Compart, and Everett LaPlante; brother Quentin Staloch of Minnesota Lake, MN; sister Karen Hoeg of Wabasha, MN; along with many nieces, nephews and their families.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Doc; brother Robert (Sherry) Staloch; sisters: Jean (Frank) Hajdu, Eunice (Norris) Overby, and Margaret Walser; sister-in-law Connie Staloch; brother-in-law Chuck Hoeg.
