Kelly Ralph Troll, age 58, of Kiester, MN died Sunday, August 20, 2017 at his home after an 8 year battle with pancreatic cancer. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Kiester, with Pr. Katie Pals officiating. Visitation will be Friday, September 1, from 4 – 7 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will take place at Our Savior's Cemetery in Kiester.

Kelly Ralph Troll was born July 25, 1959 in Albert Lea, MN, the son of Ralph and Sonja (Peterson) Troll. He graduated from Kiester High School in 1977. He went on to attend the University of Minnesota – Waseca, graduating with a degree in Agriculture. He was married Donna Vargas, and the couple later divorced. He was united in marriage to Doris Marie Roehl May 27, 1995 in Bloomington, MN. Kelly drove a semi-truck for Ladie Trucking of Albert Lea, Simonson Freight of Kiester, Styer Trucking of Lakeville, and Baarts Trucking of Truman. Kelly owned his own semi, and drove independently for 9 years, until his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. He was a loyal Minnesota Twins fan, and loved watching the Minnesota Wild. Kelly enjoyed playing pool, golf, and cribbage, and socializing with friends while having a beer.

Kelly is survived by his wife, Doris of Kiester; 2 step-daughters: Janet Vargas of San Francisco, and her daughter Nicole; and Franny (Mike) Morten of TX, and her children Tyler and Kay; mother, Sonja Troll of Winnebago, MN; aunt, Trina (Jay) Bendickson of Kiester; cousin GeDee (Kurt) Unke of Fairmont, and their son Ryan (Sarah) Unke, and their daughter Charlotte; mother-in-law, Mary Roehl of Minnetonka, MN; brothers and sisters-in-law: John (Jill) Roehl of Elk River, MN, Renee Roehl of Chanhassen, MN, Dale Roehl of AZ, Ross Roehl, and Linda Roehl both of Minnetonka, MN, Janel (Kevin) St. Aubin of Phoenix, AZ, Jolyn (Les) Bloomingdale, Jerry (Michele) Alphs and Steve Alphs all of Kiester, MN; many nieces, nephews and their families.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Carl and Louise Troll, and Vern and Gertrude Peterson; father, Ralph, and step-mother, Verla Troll; father-in-law, Louie Roehl; and step-son, Rich Vargas.
