Gary Raymond Meyer, age 72, of Easton, MN died Monday, January 9, 2017 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 13, 11:00 AM, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton, MN, with Fr. Andrew Vogel officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM-11:00 AM, prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be at OLMC Cemetery, with military honors accorded by the Easton American Legion Post #569.

Gary Raymond was born March 7, 1944 on the family farm in rural Easton, MN, the son of Raymond and Roselyn (Mosser) Meyer. He attended elementary school at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Easton, and Wells-Easton High School, where he played basketball. Gary served in the U.S. Navy from 1971-1975. He was united in marriage to Sarah Duciaume November 24, 1973 in Mexico, NY. Gary worked for 25 years at Stokley Van Camp, and was a welder at Tafco in Winnebago and Blue Earth, MN. He worked in maintenance and janitorial for Type House and Duragraph in Minneapolis, MN, before retiring. Gary was a member of the American Legion for many years, as well as OLMC Church. Gary enjoyed trips to the casino, his time outdoors, fishing, deer hunting, and riding motorcycle. Gary loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Gary is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sarah; children: William (Sarah) Meyer of St. James, MN, Gary (Alicia) Meyer, Jr. of Hugo, MN, and Judy Meyer (Cristian) of Wells, MN; grandchildren: Bill Jr., Jacob, Madeline and Reave Meyer; siblings: Joyce (Bob) Brown of Waseca, MN, Dan Meyer (Maria Weber) of Woodbury, MN, Jodi (Joe) Schultz of Easton, MN, and sister-in-law Peggy Meyer of Nicollet, MN; aunt Adeline Schrieber of Wells, MN; in-laws:, Emma Wright of Syracuse, NY, Teri Bianco (Eugene Maranga) of Ocean Side, CA, Eddie (Deb) Duciaume of Oswego, NY, Dolores (Darrel) Cooper of Fulton, NY, Renee (Bill) Gebhart of Syracuse, NY; special friends Frank (Kathy) Diaz of Wells, MN, and Scooter (Lisa) Bramer; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Randy; sister, Judy; mother and father-in-law: Emma Jean and Donald Duciaume; sister-in-law Jannette Duciaume.
