Florence Fredrickson, age 94, of Wells, MN, died Thursday, November 29, 2018 at The Beacon in Mapleton, MN. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Open Doors United Methodist Church in Wells, MN, with Pr. Chris Leistra officiating. Visitation will be Monday, December 3, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Dunbar Memorial Cemetery in Dunbar Twp., Faribault Co., MN. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family. To leave an online condolence, please visit
Florence was born December 15, 1923 the daughter of Charley and Elsie (Miller) Bathke in Dunbar Twp., Faribault Co., MN. She attended country school through the eighth grade. Florence was united in marriage to Wayne Fredrickson June 6, 1944 in Wells, MN. She was a member of the Open Doors UMC funeral committee for over 25 years. Florence enjoyed her flower garden, sewing, cooking, baking, playing cards and going on trips. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her three daughters: Barbara (husband Brian) Bruckhoff of Minnesota Lake, Marsha (husband James) Haakensen of New Richland, and Carol (husband Robert) Jacobsen of Minnesota Lake; grandchildren: Jennifier Putnam, Greg Bruckhoff, Kimberly (Nate) Stern, Steven (Jen) Haakensen, Krystal (Jeff) Hanson, Allen Jacobsen, Tyler (Kristy) Jacobsen; Great-grandchildren: Courtney Putnam, Cameron Robinson, Cecelia Berg, Lynae Bruckhoff, Alicia Bruckhoff, Cayden Stern, Harper Stern, baby Stern on the way, Emma Jacobsen and Kadance Jacobsen; sisters-in-law: Irene Bathke of Wells and Doris Beckman of New Richland; along with many nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne, brother Ben, great-grandchildren: Erica Putnam and Tehya Bruckhoff.
