Elaine was born March 31, 1936, in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Carl Magnus and Goldie Pearl (Anderson) Rasmussen. Elaine was baptized August 16, 1936 and confirmed April 2, 1950 in the same church she married Donald A. Elaine worked for the United States Postal Service for over 40 years, serving as a teller and lastly as Postmaster for 16 years retiring in September of 1996. Elaine loved to entertain her family and friends, enjoying the preparation of the gathering as much as the gathering itself. Elaine enjoyed crocheting afghans for her family. She was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden, where she was a lifelong member.
