Donald Eugene Wilder, age 71, of Wells, MN died Saturday, April 15, 2017. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11:00AM at St. Paul's UCC in rural Minnesota Lake, MN, with Rev. Cherie Daniel officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at St. Paul's and continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery.
Don was born May 29, 1945, the son of Eugene and Victoria (Dulas) Wilder in Albert Lea, MN. Don graduated from Wells-Easton High School in 1963 and honorably served in the U. S Army Reserves. On October 6, 1973, Don was united in marriage to Carol Kauffmann at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in rural Minnesota Lake. He loved hunting, fishing, farming and restoring Minneapolis Moline tractors.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister: Marlene Wilder;
mother and father-in-law.
Don is survived by his wife Carol of Wells; daughter Trishel Adams (special friend John) of Baldwin, WI; 3 grandchildren: Aleshia (Adam) Bowen of Baldwin, WI, Whitney (Kyle) Whelan of Alden, MN, Preston Adams of Baldwin, WI; great-grandchildren: Kane Whelan and Deacon Bowen; step-great-grandchildren: Merissa and Vanessa Bowen; siblings: Mary Alice (LaVoy) Ebnet of New Richland, Jeff Wilder of Chester, MN, Julie (Dan) Sonnek of Mankato; in-laws: David (Margaret) Kauffmann, Dale Kauffmann, Mark (Philly) Kauffmann; nieces, nephews and their families; and many friends.
