Debra Ann Bruckhoff, age 60, of Wells, MN died Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, MN, with Fr. Andrew Vogel officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 30, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be at a later date. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family.
Debra Ann was born March 16, 1957 in Wells, the daughter of James and Sharon (Wollen) Schultz. She attended St. Casimir Catholic School, and graduated from Wells-Easton High School, the class of 1975. On August 25, 1979 at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Deb was united in marriage to Donald Bruckhoff, and to this union 2 children were born. Deb and Don took many camping trips with Jerry and Patsy as they were growing up. Deb had worked in Winnebago at ElectroCraft until the company moved south. Deb was a dedicated Parkview Care Center employee for 30 years and she enjoyed taking care of others and she would put the needs of others before her own. Deb was a life-long member of St. Casimir Catholic Church. Deb found joy tending her flower gardens and she most especially loved to grow Hosta. She liked playing cards and she loved time spent, playing, and reading to her grandchildren. Her Amish friends in Harmony, Minnesota were very special to her and she and Don would make monthly trips to see them for visits.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jim Schultz; and father-in-law, Robert Bruckhoff.
Debra is survived by her husband of 37 years, Don of Wells; mother, Sharon Schultz of Wells; children: Jerry (Veronica) Bruckhoff of Minnesota Lake, Patsy (Wes) Quade of Wells, MN; 4 grandchildren: Jordan and Colten Quade and Mckenzie and Ava Bruckhoff; 4 siblings: Chris (John) Foote of San Francisco, CA, Doug (Laura) Schultz of Wells, MN, Jo (Gary) Whiteis of New Prague, MN, and Karen (Darrell) Lutteke of Wells; mother-in-law: Gwen Bruckhoff of Wells; in-laws: Dennis (Nancy) Bruckhoff of Wells, Dwight (Robinn) Bruckhoff of Aitkin, MN, Carmen (Steve) Kruger of Waseca, MN, Doug (Roxanne) Bruckhoff of Wells, and Cindy (Doug) Larson of Cross Lake, MN; along with many nieces, nephews and their families, and a host of wonderful friends.
