Cheryl was born September 15, 1944 to Nora (Millhouse) and Bernhardt Jespersen in Freeborn County, MN. She had a gift of gab and couldn't enter a store or post office without chatting up a stranger. Cheri loved music and seldom went anywhere without a radio playing in the background. Not an award show would be missed on television, and she was sure to call her daughter when her favorite artists were performing. She was fun-loving and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren with affection and sweets.

Cheri is survived by her son: Steve (Kathy) of Rosemount; daughter: Julie (Phil) Naumann of Elmore; granddaughter: Ashley (Brian) Eimer of Mankato; 2 grandsons: Christopher (Sarah) Dornquast of Howard Lake, and Cole Dornquast of Apple Valley; 2 great grandsons Weston and Declan Eimer of Mankato; 1 brother: Roger (Sue) Jespersen of Mankato, 1 sister: Betty (Tom) Schuster of Baudette; along with many nieces, nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Joan Jespersen and brothers Paul and Don (Pam) Jespersen.
