Betty Lou Colby of Rapid City, SD, formally of Easton, MN passed away June 18, 2020 at the age of 96. Gravesite services are pending at Lura Cemetery, rural Delevan, MN. Please see to leave online condolences. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of arrangements.

Betty was born March 6, 1924 in Easton, MN, the daughter of Andrew and Ethel (Probert) Borris. She worked at the Easton Post office from 1965-1990 when she retired. She moved to Rapid City, SD in 2015. She enjoyed reading, the Minnesota Twins, getting together for coffee at the Easton Community Center, collecting Beanie Babies and shopping with her sister-in-law Charlene.

She is survived by daughter Pam Gilmore of Rapid City, SD daughter Shari (John) Beigl of Belle Fourche, SD, daughter-in-law Terri Colby of Blue Earth, MN and son Todd (Lori) Colby of Mankato MN;
6 Grandchildren: Chris (Heather) Vogel, Chad (Kari) Colby, Stefanie (Mick) Szczukowski, Erin (Trevor) Fisher, Heather (Brent) Grosz and Courtney (Dale) Hardy; 2 Step-grandchildren: Julie Beigl, John Beigl Jr.; 11 great grandchildren: Samantha, Katie, Sidney, Mason, Hayden, Emersyn, Teegan, James, Maddie, Noah and Bradley. 3 step-great-grandchildren: Sophie, John III, Paige.

She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Ethel Borris, brothers Gerald (Marie) Borris, Robert (Patricia) Borris and Gene (Charlene) Borris and sister Irene (Joe) Welsh; son Tim Colby and great-grandson Conner Hardy.
