Betty Carol Korman, age 86, of Wells, MN, died Monday, January 15, 2018 at The Beacon in New Richland, MN. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells, officiated by Pr. Mary Iverson. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM prior to service at the church in Wells. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Wells. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home of Wells is in charge of arrangements. Please see to leave online condolences.
Betty Carol was born March 28, 1931 on the family farm in Minnesota Lake Township, the daughter of Emil and Emma (Renkley) Hueper. She graduated from Minnesota Lake High School and worked in area canning factories. Betty married Gaylord Korman on November 11, 1951 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Betty was a hard worker and a farm wife, who always had a big garden, both on the farm and in town. She was famous for her baby dill pickles. Betty loved to sew and quilt, and she liked to play cards with family and friends. She enjoyed wintering in Florida, and hosting family reunions on the 4th of July at the lake. Betty was a very generous and family orientated lady. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Betty is survived by her son, Alan Korman (significant other Tracy Brandt) of Wells, MN; daughter Carolyn (Bryce) Norman of New Richland, MN; grandchildren: Mike (Nicole) Swanson of Wells, MN, Matthew (Rachael) Korman of Alden, MN, Shana (Mark) Schuster of Freeborn, MN, Eric (Amy) Norman of Madison Lake, MN, Renee (Jon) Stoltz of Waseca, MN; 6 great-grandchildren: Weston and Bennett Korman, Brooke (Ty) Lerum, Alyson and Samantha Swanson, and Maxine Stoltz; siblings: Charles "Chuck" (Shirley) Hueper of Wells, MN, Emil Hueper Jr., of Minnesota Lake, MN, Donald (Lorraine) Hueper of Baudette, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Gaylord; brothers: Arlo and David Hueper; sisters: Jeanette Offerson and Shirley Hueper.
