Annella Edith Clarke, age 88 of Wells, MN, died Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at The Shepherd's Inn in Wells, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, MN with Fr. Matt Fasnacht officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and will continue one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family.

Annella was born April 15, 1930 on the family farm in Easton, MN, the daughter of Leo and Edith (Paul) Braunshausen. She loved growing up on the farm, the outdoors and spending time with her horse, Beauty and her pony, Lindy. She went to country school, and then graduated from Delavan High School, where she was crowned homecoming queen. Annella was united in marriage to Richard Clarke September 7, 1949 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton, MN. She was a homemaker, she worked part-time at Peterson's Dept. Store, Del Monte and Hartman TV. Annella was a member of the Wells Legion and Wells Fire Dept. Auxiliaries and St. Agnes Circle of St. Casimir Church. She enjoyed flowers, birds, playing bridge and singing old songs. Annella enjoyed snowmobiling where she raced and won many trophies. She had a deep Catholic faith and loved being with her family and grandchildren.

Annella is survived by her children: Charles (Lyn) Clarke of Kenyon, MN, Brian Clarke of Longmont, CO, Lynn (Marlin) Hicks of Wells, MN, Lori (Keith) Corbin of Rose Creek, MN, and Amy (Tim) Heiser of Mankato, MN; 16 grandchildren: Jennifer Clarke, Kevin (Kari) Clarke, Brandon (Jamie) Clarke, Brett Clarke, Cory Cole, Noah Clarke, Dylan Clarke, Bryce (Denise) Hicks, Marnie (Jon) Davis, Patrick (Marie) Hicks, Brian Corbin, Kale Stafford, Kylie Stafford, Wesley Heiser and Madison Heiser; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Julian (Miriam) Braunhausen of Mankato, MN; sister-in-law: Maureen Clarke of Rochester, MN; brother-in-law: Dean (Jean) Clarke of Lakeville, MN; along with many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard Clarke; siblings: Charlene (Gene) Borris and Galen (Pat) Braunshausen.
