Carmen and Family

My sympathies and prayers are with you and your family, Carmen.

What a lady Helen was, great visitor, ambitious worker, always said 'yes' whenever I asked. Don't know what I would have done without her...all the years she would patch I don't know how many pairs of jeans.

And, missing her uptown in Wells drinking coffee with friends..always a smile and fun to visit, always like a 'friend forever'.

Blessings to your family...What a great mom and matriarch..a true Christian.

I always enjoyed my times with Helen, she was always looking out for her family n friends. Her laugh was contagious and I enjoyed our short trips together. I especially enjoyed our work on missionary quilts at her church and the new friends she introduced me to there. I met Helen back in the late 70's when I moved to Wells, she seemed to always be working the places I went. I enjoyed working with her at the Shepherd's Inn, she was a good cook n was sad when she retired because she couldn't lift the heavy racks in n out of the dishwasher. But she would drop in occasionally to visit with us all. Thank you for letting me come to visit her at home after her surgery, it was comforting to me. I will carry her memories with me, she was a good friend. Peace to her family. She was ready to go be with Clarence knowing she had raised her family well.

Helen was such a kindhearted and generous person. I will truly miss her laughter which was simply contagious. I remember having so many coffee parties with her and my parents. She would just make herself at home and I always thought of her as part of our family. Whenever she started laughing, you couldn't help but join her. She will be truly missed by my family. She was such a special person. Thank you for sharing her with all of us. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this difficult time.

I have known Helen many years, we worked as co-workers at Parkview Nursing home and the Shepherds Inn also. What I enjoyed the most was seeing her walk over to my place and we would sit out at the table or when too cold we would sit and have coffee, tea, or water inside. I loved her honesty and always spoke her mind . We have lot of shared memories. The others that may have been sitting at the table have asked about her when she was not there and even more so the concern for her health and with the virus we could not visit for fear of having and not knowing we had it. It was hard not to visit in her last days.dejB
