Dale Edward Bartness, Age 82, of Walters died Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in New Richland, MN, with Pastor Don Rose officiating. Dale was the 7th of 8 children born to Willie and Mabel (Lee) Bartness of Hartland. He was baptized and confirmed in the Hartland Synod Church. Dale graduated from Ellendale High School, the class of 1956. Dale married Lynn Jeddeloh April 15, 1961 in New Richland, MN, and to this union 3 daughters were born, Debra, Julie and Kelly. Dale was employed by Wilson Co., before moving to Oklahoma in 1981, where he worked as a meat cutter until he retired in 2001. He and Lynn moved back to Minnesota and settled near Walters, MN. Dale was always involved with horses, he did a lot of horse showing, trail riding and saddle club events. While living in Oklahoma, Dale was active in an antique tractor club.
Dale is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lynn Bartness of Walters; 3 daughters: Debra Bartness of Austin, MN, Julie Bartness of Walters, MN, and Kelly (husband Paul) Corrigan of Smithville, MO; 5 grandchildren: Blair, Arron (Mary) and Jeremy Johnson; Molly and Megan Corrigan; 2 great-grandchildren: Trenton and Makenna Johnson.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers: Ellsworth, Truman, Eugene and Sherman Bartness; 3 sisters: Maxine Bowen, Corrine Horan and Alvida Derby; grandson, David Johnson and a great-granddaughter, Aryanna Lynn.

So sorry to hear of Dale's passing. I always think of him riding the big lawnmower for so many years and making sure your place looked so nice. Also, we are sorry that times are so restrictive right now. But I am sending a big hug your way.
