Bessie Soost Obituary

Bessie Maxine Soost, 88, of Wells, MN, died Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Parkview Care Center in Wells, MN. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 in Rosehill Cemetery in Wells, MN. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of arrangements.
Bessie Maxine was born September 19, 1930 in Minnesota Lake, MN, the daughter of Herbert and Vera (Fountain) Culbertson. She was united in marriage to Edward Soost, May 24, 1952 in Wells, MN. They lived and farmed in rural Wells until 1984. Bessie was a farmers wife and worked at Parkview Nursing Home for over 40 years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing, camping and spending time with her family. Bessie was a very giving, caring, religious woman. She was a pianist for the Assembly of God Church for many years and helped with many church activities.
Bessie is survived by her children: Judy (Wayne) Rosin of Wells, Wayne (Deb) Soost of Alden, Cindy (Roger) Berndt of St. James; grandchildren: Lisa (Al) Shallow of Lena, WI, Jeremy (Heather) Rosin of Belle Plain, Chris (Jara) Soost of Gilette, WY, Casey (Kristi) Soost of Alden, Amy (Josh) Bell of Hollendale, Kim Soost of Alden, Stacy (Joshua) Hander of Wells, Stephanie Berndt of Mankato, Samantha (Caleb) Mackey of Waukee, IA; 19 great grandchildren and one on the way; siblings: David (Janet) Culbertson, Lilah (John) Scrabeck and Bonnie (Maynard) Bakken; along with many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward; brothers: Kenneth, Melvin, Lester, Maynard and Donald Culbertson; sister: Betty Fredericks.
Bessie's persona will be greatly missed at family gatherings.
