Randy Duane Weber Obituary

To the Webber family, our deepest sympathy. Randy and I were friends in high school, and even became closer when I worked for CATCO Parts & Service in Mankato. Our fathers and mothers were close growing up as my father worked for Gene. He was a special, in his way he treated other people, always smiling and complimenting the other person, his laugh was unique. Our prayers will be with you and your family. We always got a laugh from the fishing stories, hunting stories, or just a day in the life story. My deepest sympathy to Dawn, and to Randy's family and to Dawn's family. Randy's parents and my parents were close friends since both of our father's got out of the military after WW2. We always got a laugh from the fishing stories, hunting stories, or just a day in the life story. This story telling ability must have been genetically passed from Gene to Randy, because you'd be smiling before he began to talk. Late 2014, my mother's septic system had to be changed to the above ground code and Randy was doing the excavation. First he had to remove 26 tree stumps resulting from the storm the year before.My mother, (Dorothy Christenson) , Dawn, and I watched. Randy had the stumps & roots out in 35 minutes! Then mom noticed the back entrance steps had pulled away from the house about 4 inches. Randy said, " I can fix that," He slowly guided the backhoe to push both sides back towards the house. There was one small gap on one side, so Dawn yelled to Randy, " Move it back just a smidgen on the right side..." As we laughed, Randy moved the step precisely in place. Only Randy Weber could gage and carry out the term "smidgen" ! He is a one-of-a-kind, and we'll miss him. Randy & Dawn, two peas in a pod. Hopefully, the stories and warm memories will be of some comfort during these difficult times now, and in the months and years to come. May God bless.

My condolences to the entire family. Times such as this are never easy, but can be helped by thinking of all the great memories you've shared together. Although I didn't personally know Randy, I am friends with Chandler, who thought the world of him. Hearing excerpts from their hunting exploits always brought a smile to my face. Kudos to Chandler for assisting the family over the past few months during this difficult time. May he rest in peace. With regards, Mark

So sorry for your loss, our thoughts and prayers to all the family. Randy parents and my parents were friends and my dad did a lot of Gene's mechanical work on his equipment. Great loss will miss my long talks with Randy in the trailer with him when I visit Wells.
